Dehli: Thick Murano Glass Defined by Rigadin Texture
Dehli puts the traditional rigadin technique at the centre of the design.
The characteristic ridged surface meets substantial pure glass, creating multiple paths for light to travel through the object. Instead of a smooth, uninterrupted reflection, illumination breaks across the texture and is refracted through the thickness of the glass.
The effect gives Dehli depth even when its underlying form remains relatively restrained.
Vase or Bowl
The collection is available in two distinct formats: a vase measuring 38 cm high and 20 cm in diameter, and a lower bowl measuring 16 cm high with a 30 cm diameter.
The vase emphasizes vertical form and can create a strong accent on a console, dining table or pedestal. The bowl spreads the same visual language horizontally, making it well suited to the centre of a table or low surface.
Both are offered in polished amethyst, where the depth of colour works together with the rigadin texture to create changing tonal intensity.
Tradition Made Visually Relevant
Rigadin is not included simply as a historical reference. On Dehli, the texture performs a visual function.
Every ridge changes the angle at which light meets the glass. Combined with the thickness of the material, this creates highlights, darker areas and optical distortion that change as the viewer moves around the object.
Each Dehli piece is handcrafted in Murano, linking the collection directly to the glassmaking tradition from which the technique originates.
Use it functionally or leave it empty: the interaction between amethyst colour, thick glass and rigadin texture gives Dehli enough presence to stand on its own.
Dehli makes a traditional Murano technique feel immediate again, turning ridges in the glass into colour, shadow and constantly shifting refractions.
